Children's Education
All Hallows welcomes children and youth to
worship and formation opportunities each
week. Our staff is a dedicated group of
teachers who volunteer their time to share
their love and faith with the children. We
strive to welcome new children and their
families throughout the year and invite you
to join us as we learn about God's presence
in our lives and infinite love for us.
We offer the following Sunday School
activities beginning September 9, 2012
through June 2, 2013. Please register
for Sunday School here.
Christian Formation for our children and
youth begins at 10 AM and ends approximately
at 11:00 AM. Children join their parents in
the Brick Church during the 10:30 AM Service
at the Peace before Communion.
On the first Sunday of each month (excluding
feast days) Sunday School will meet from
10-10:30 AM and then children and their
parents will gather in the Parish House
(downstairs) for a Family Eucharist. The
children and youth will learn about worship
in the Episcopal Church by serving as
acolytes, lectors, ushers and greeters at
this service. Holy Eucharist Rite II
is celebrated with a short homily geared at
younger audiences.
Children of all ages are always welcome in
the main church service as well. Children's
bulletins, crayons, colored pencils, and
paper are available in both the Chapel and
the Brick Church. Please ask an usher
if you need any assistance.

Nursery Care
The goal of the All Hallows Nursery is to
provide children under three with a
secure, entertaining, and comfortable
environment while giving parents the
chance to attend and enjoy the 10:30
service in the Brick Church.
All Hallows Nursery
The All Hallows nursery is open beginning
at 10 AM on Sunday mornings and remains
open for the duration of the 10:30 worship
service in the Brick Church every Sunday.
It is located in the Parish House (the
building next to the Brick Church) across
from the women's restroom. We have lots of
toys and books for the children to play
with! Parents are welcome to stay in the
Nursery whenever they would like. If you
have any questions about the Nursery or
are interested in volunteering, please
contact Katherine Lloyd, our Nursery
Coordinator, at jlloydjr3@comcast.net.
Sunday Nursery Volunteers
Please check the calendar for your
assigned nursery dates. There are two
lists; one with the assigned volunteers
for each week and the other is the list of
substitute volunteers. Depending on the
number of babies/children we have each
week, we might ask volunteers from the
substitute list to assist in the Nursery
too. If you are unable to be at church for
your assigned Sunday it is your
responsibility to find another volunteer
from the substitute list. Once
arrangements have been made, please
contact Katherine to make her aware of the
change.
SPARK for ages three through fifth grade
Our children in preschool up through 5th
grade use the Spark Online curriculum
(Augsburg Fortress). The younger grades
use the Spark Classroom model which walks
through key Old Testament and New
Testament Bible stories each year, in a
two-year cycle. The Old Testament stories
are presented in the fall quarter and the
New Testament stories are presented in the
winter and spring quarters. Christmas,
Easter, and Pentecost stories are included
in the lesson sequence each year. The
older grades (3rd-5th) use the Spark
Lectionary model which follows stories in
the Revised Common Lectionary (matching
the lessons we use in church). Throughout
the three-year cycle, each lesson comes
from a Bible story in the Old Testament,
the Gospels, or Acts.
re:form – for Middle School (grades
6,7,8)
Middle School students use the re:form
curriculum (also Augsburg Fortress) which
is a totally new approach to youth
ministry that trusts youth to wrestle with
faith and theology. Each lesson has a DVD
that grabs the youth’s attention with
quick-witted animations that introduce the
session questions.
Foundations of the Bible- 5:30 PM- 7:00
PM (High School) meets Sunday evenings
twice a month
Our youth in high school meet on a
regular basis to assist filling bags of
groceries for the Food Pantry. This year
we incorporated Christian Formation and
worship into our meetings with a strong
leadership team consisting of Gerry
Mathews, Katherine Simpson, and Mother
Olsen. This group meets twice a month for
food, fellowship, and learning from
5:30-7:00PM in the Parish House.
Christian Formation Opportunities For
All Ages
Lifelong Christian Faith Formation in
the Episcopal Church is lifelong growth
in the knowledge, service and love of God
as followers of Christ and is informed by
Scripture, Tradition and Reason.
Through the Episcopal Church, God Invites
all people to enter into a prayerful life
of worship, continuous learning, and to
hear the Word of God through scripture, to
honor church teachings, and continually
spread the Good News of the risen Christ
and ministering to all.
Almost every week you can find
parishioners gathering after one of our
Services at the Chapel or Brick Church for
about 45 minutes to discuss various
topics. The sessions are usually
lead by the rector or guest speaker and
provide continuous learning opportunities
for all.
Christian Formation Opportunities are
generally held:
After 8AM Service at the Chapel on the 1st
and 3rd Sundays of the month.
After the 1030AM Service at the Brick
Church on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the
month.
