Michael
Menne became the Organist/Choirmaster of All Hallows' Parish in January 2006. A graduate of Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, he holds an Bachelor's degree from Duke University and a Masters in Musicology from the University of Massachusetts. In addition, he has done course work at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J., and at the Royal School of Church Music in England. He was formerly the Director of Music at St. Margaret's Parish, Annapolis, Precentor of Trinity Cathedral, Diocese of Easton, and Director of Music of the Church of St. Martin's-in-the-Field, Severna Park. Immediately prior to All Hallows, he served as interim Director of Music at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Alexandria, Virginia. Mike is a retired teacher who taught at South River High School in Edgewater. He is the founding Dean of the Annapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and recently served as the Region III Chair of the Association of Anglican Musicians (2000-2005). He is a harpsichordist and has a special interest in French keyboard music of the 17th century. He has also served as an accompanist for high school and community choruses in the Anne Arundel County area. |
